Year Four. ADHD Adventure. Figma Animation.
2024
This animation was created for a course in experiential information design, where the brief required us to design an animated piece to convey information. I chose to focus on ADHD in everyday life, using Figma to create an animation that illustrates the challenges individuals with ADHD face when attempting to complete chores. My goal was to foster understanding and empathy among those without ADHD, and I’m proud of how accurately it represents these day-to-day difficulties.
This course, centred around the Exposure exhibition, was dedicated to mastering typography and developing essential typographic skills. It equipped me with a solid understanding of using type effectively across various layouts and taught me the fundamental rules of typography—an indispensable skill wherever type plays a role. For the exhibition, I designed a cohesive poster sequence, calendar, and booklet, creatively utilising the provided colour palette, photographs, and text to bring the project to life.

Year Two. The Hunger Trap. Ihi Wihi.
2022
This project challenged me to present a single idea through two contrasting design styles. I focused on the critical issue of food insecurity among New Zealand’s children living in poverty. The imagery centred on a young child, representing the helplessness of being trapped in this cycle. One poster adopted the style of a whimsical children’s book illustration, creating a stark contrast with the second design, which portrayed the harsh and gruesome reality of the issue. This approach emphasised the emotional weight of the topic while showcasing versatility in visual storytelling.
