Focus Fuel is an AI-powered tool that supports New Zealand secondary teachers  in bridging the gap between ADHD theory and practice. It simplifies lesson planning, making it easy to incorporate ADHD-friendly strategies into existing resources. The platform ensures all students, especially those with ADHD, are supported through tailored, engaging lessons that align with the New Zealand curriculum and meet diverse learning needs.

My Aim

My Aim is to redesign the NZ curriculum in an innovative way to support New Zealand secondary school teachers in creating inclusive, tailored lesson plans. By integrating ADHD support strategies, interactive teaching tools, and Universal design for learning concepts. To ensure that every student’s learning needs are met, empowering educators to create impactful, engaging lessons that align with the New Zealand curriculum.

The Design

I designed the layout with columns to reflect the familiar structure of existing teaching resources like TKI and the Ministry of Education, as well as current AI models, ensuring a seamless transition for teachers. The use of blue throughout was intentional to create a calm, focused environment conducive to concentration. The user experience was thoroughly tested with teachers in the industry to ensure its practicality and effectiveness. By offering both a digital and physical resource, I’ve made Focus Fuel more accessible, supporting teachers in various teaching environments.
